About Me

I'm Antonio Bellifemine, a self-taught engineer based in the Tampa Bay area. Originally from New Jersey, I'm a proud first-generation American. Before relocating to Florida and pivoting to engineering, I was a baker appearing on Cake Boss for 6 seasons as "Cousin Anthony." Martial arts and fitness are huge passions; I love training, and teaching others (proud BJJ Black Belt 🥋). When I'm not on the mats, or doing kettlebells you'll find me cooking, coding side projects, or learning something new.

I'm also a big fan of great coffee and cigars, and living in Cigar City means I'm never far from world-class spots like those in Ybor. Thanks for checking out my portfolio! I'm excited about new projects and always open to collaborating. Feel free to reach out for work, questions, or just to connect, my social handles are in the sidebar!

Services

Modern software engineering is fundamentally a scientific, feedback-driven discipline. Teams and organizations that embrace Continuous Delivery principles, building quality in from the start, automating verification and deployment, integrating continuously, and measuring what truly matters consistently achieve elite levels of performance. They deliver faster, with greater stability and stronger business impact, as repeatedly demonstrated by DORA research. Through targeted assessments, principle-driven guidance, and hands-on enablement, my engagements help teams bridge the gap to elite performance, driving measurable, sustainable improvements in deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate, time to restore service, developer productivity, and long-term team health.

QA Strategy & Process Optimization: Build Quality In From the Start

Quality is not inspected in at the end; it's engineered into every change. We begin with an assessment of your current feedback loops and defect detection times, then design lightweight, high-signal processes that surface issues minutes, not weeks after, introduction. Clients see dramatic reductions in hotfixes and production pain (hundreds of thousands in avoided costs), because we treat quality as a first-class engineering property, not an afterthought.

Scalable Test Automation Architecture: Automation as Core Engineering Discipline

Effective automation is a maintainable, evolvable system that serves as the backbone for continuous integration & delivers trustworthy feedback at speed. I help teams build robust test suites that support rapid iteration and true Continuous Delivery. The result: teams shift from flaky, slow suites to confident, high-frequency deployments with minimal false positives, unlocking sustainable velocity.

Continuous Integration & Delivery as a Core Practice: Make Releasing a Non-Event

Continuous Integration is a discipline of frequent integration, automated verification, and always-releasable main branches. It's not a pipeline tool. I coach teams in trunk-based development, automated acceptance testing, and fast feedback so every change is proven production ready in minutes. Outcomes include boringly safe, frequent releases, drastically reduced risk, and immediate business responsiveness, no more big-bang windows or hand-overs.

Team Enablement & Modern QA Coaching: Elevate the Capability of Your Delivery System

High-performance software emerges when the whole team owns quality and applies engineering principles consistently. Through targeted coaching I help teams adopt ATDD (acceptance test driven development), and production learning loops.

Measurable results: shorter cycle times, fewer bugs, sustainable pace, and teams that continuously improve at delivering valuable, reliable software without burnout.

DORA Metrics Audit & Improvement: Measure What Matters

DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate, time to restore) are the most reliable predictors of delivery, performance, team health, and business outcomes. I conduct a baseline audit against these metrics, identify true constraints (not symptoms), and guide evidence-based improvements rooted in Continuous Delivery principles. Elite teams ship faster, fail less, recover quicker, and create far more value outcomes you can measure and sustain.
